7 Verona Drive, listed on June 23 at $2.295 went to contract immediately and closed yesterday at $2.4. Which must be gratifying for the sellers, because they had to win a bidding war back in 2013, when they paid $2.125 on the $1.899 listing price.

(Relatively) inexpensive homes in Riverside in excellent condition — this one had been completely renovated in 2013 before being listed, which explains the first price war — have always been scarce, and are becoming scarcer as they’re torn down and replaced by more expensive homes, so in any kind of decent market, there are going to be buyers out there looking for them.

In any event, congratulations to both buyers and sellers; I think they both did well, because one got a good price and the other got a good house on a very nice street..
