First, he systematically killed the world's poorest citizens; now he's disenfranchising illegal aliens here in America. Oh, make him stop; won't SOMEBODY make him STOP!?

David Strom, HotAir:

Democrats are super angry about, and Marc Elias is suing to stop, a Trump Executive Order requiring states to ask people whether they are United States citizens on voter registration forms.

…. Democrats are right to be concerned. After all, they have spent years and years, not to mention many billions in taxpayer dollars, running one of the largest human trafficking operations in world history to import millions of illegal aliens.

Sure, they made a huge profit off the operation. Countless NGOs harvested billions of dollars in USAID grants, and lots of contractors made a mint transporting, feeding, and housing the flood of illegals, but the Democrats counted on harvesting millions of illegal votes in the bargain as well.

Why do you think that all those Blue states started handing out driver's licenses and voter registration forms to illegals? To promote public safety or something? Or encourage the flood of illegals who were carrying communicable diseases, unvaccinated for COVID or other more preventable but deadly diseases, or sent all those mail-in ballots to homeless shelters?

A 5-foot-2, 449-pound ATV-riding Texan was a massive problem to Tesla owners when he allegedly rammed his 4-wheeler into multiple cars during an unprovoked hit-and-run spree on Tuesday.

Demarqeyun Marquize Cox was arrested after one of his alleged attacks was recorded by the Tesla he purposely ran into, police in Texarkana, Texas announced.

Associated Propaganda BODIED for Shameful Article Blaming Trump Admin for Ethiopian AIDS Problem

We knew that the Left would start blaming President Donald Trump and DOGE for every death around the world following his USAID cuts.

And they already have. New York Times reporter Nicholas Kristof said President Trump killed two kids in South Sudan and Alex Cole blamed him for the death of a Taiwanese national in Thailand.

Kristoff first:

“Elon Musk says that no one has died because he slashed humanitarian aid. I went to South Sudan to check if that's true. It's not. Within an hour of starting interviews, I had the names of a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl who had died because of decisions by wealthy men in Washington. The visit that moved me the most was to a remote area that used to have no health care, where women routinely died in childbirth. Then a US-funded maternity clinic opened through UNFPA in December, [emphasis added] and not one woman has died since. I showed up, and people mistakenly thought I was responsible for the clinic. One new mom wanted to name her baby for me, and the village elders thanked me and hailed America's generosity. What they didn't know was that Trump/Musk had cut all funding for UNFPA and that as a result the maternity clinic will close this month, and women will once again be bleeding to death in the dust.”

How long has African poverty been going on? How long have pregnant women “been bleeding to death in the dust”? How long has the UN been operating in the continent? How much UN (US taxpayers’) money has gone to medical care vs Swiss bank accounts of corrupt African politicans? Kristoff doesn’t say.

Now Cole, with a comment from a woman who isn’t impressed with the reporter’s sudden concern for the wellbeing of a woman in another country on the other side of the world:

Twitchy’s Amy Curtis has questions:

The woman was a Taiwanese national who died in Thailand.

Thailand has universal healthcare. Why didn't they provide oxygen?

And I have a question: there are something like 3 billion people on the globe earning less than $2 a day; how many of those are we required to provide free medical care?

The Associated Press is here to add more bodies to the tally with this article:

HIV soars after a deadly war in Ethiopia’s Tigray.

Again, Curtis has questions:

Where is the U.N.? Where's the E.U.? Where are other African countries?

By the way, the war started in 2020. Who was president from 2021 until 2025, again?

We'll provide more real estate coverage when there's more real estate activity to cover

Although there are bound to be a few more sales reported tomorrow and Friday, I looked at the past week’s activity on the MLS and it shows what’s happening: pretty much nothing.

Four single-family sales from last Wednesday to today, ranging from $16.9 million to $1,203,051.

No contracts, but note that, in this market, houses are moving straight to pending — no contingencies. Eight homes did exactly that.

And there you have it. I believe I’ve written about each one, and I’ll revist them when the quick-pending ones sell, because most of them will be going for more than their asking price.

Good luck with that, pal

Hunter Biden hires Alex Murdaugh's lawyer in latest court case

Hunter Biden has hired a heavyweight South Carolina attorney — with a similar high profile to his last lawyer — to go after a right-wing business executive for defamation.

Former state Sen. Dick Harpootlian, D-Columbia, a self-described "Joe Biden guy" who recently represented Low Country prosecutor turned convicted killer Alex Murdaugh, is the younger Biden’s new lawyer as he pursues ex-Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne in court.

Biden, who was pardoned by his father for those allegations, is primed to go to Los Angeles court in July against Byrne.

The suit claims Byrne wrongfully accused Biden of being in touch with Iranian officials in 2021, seeking a bribe in exchange for unfreezing $8 billion in funds at the behest of his father.

…. Biden is reportedly claiming defamatory statements from the Iran allegation that led him to lose "economic opportunities," including memoir and art sales and speaking engagements estimated to be collectively worth about $500,000.

Problems I see include:

  • Hunter’s a public figure, so the burden of proof is much, much higher than if he were a private individual

  • As a convicted criminal and a fully-exposed (so to speak) history of coke-fueled sex trysts and illegal gun possession, he has no character left to damage.

  • “Lost” artwork sales of his scribbles are imaginary; the few paintings that did sell were purchased by buyers seeking access to his father’s influence, and evaporated once that influence faded.

I suppose a sympathetic jury (is the trial being held in D.C.?) might award the man $1 in nominal damges, but I hope not.

No more cops in NoPo — not at these prices

No more lawyers, either. 24 Riverside Lane, one of the original “temporary” houses put up for returning WWII veterans in 1948 is new on the MLS today at $1.195 million. One feature that was lacking back then has been corrected: it now has window air conditioners, and they’re included in the price.

Just as an aside, while the expense of staging a house in this price bracket might dissuade an owner or agent from going through the trouble, de-cluttering costs nothing, and never hurts.

W Lyon Farm sale price reported

January contract, March closing, 414 W Lyon Farm has sold for $1.5 million. That’s a tad lower than some other recent sales of renovated units here, but that’s possibly due to its debuting last June at $1.995 million and being a bit laggard in suiting price to market.

Buyers came from Scarsdale, and why not? As my Uncle Gary, native of that town (8 Heathcote, originally) said when packing his bags and moving to Vermont, “50 years in Scarsdale is enough for any man”.

“Y’all callin’ me a liar?”

Well, yes. Yes we are.

Yesterday, the rising star of the Democrat Party, Jazzman Crockit, came under fire for mocking Governor Abbot*, who has been confined to a wheelchair since being paralyzed when he was 26. Rather than apologize and MoveOn™, she dug deeper. Moron.

Crockett clarified [sic] her comments in a post on X, claiming she "wasn’t thinking about the governor’s condition."

"I was thinking about the planes, trains, and automobiles he used to transfer migrants into communities led by Black mayors, deliberately stoking tension and fear among the most vulnerable. Literally, the next line I said was that he was a "Hot A** Mess," referencing his terrible policies. At no point did I mention or allude to his condition," she wrote in part.

There's a New NIH Sheriff in Town!

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who was personally targeted and censored by the Biden administration (including NIH) and Big Tech, has been confirmed as National Institutes of Health (NIH) director.

Bhattacharya, an outspoken critic of the government’s disastrous COVID-19 policies, was finally confirmed by the Senate on March 25. Sen. Jim Banks celebrated, “When others were afraid to stand up against group think & COVID hysteria, Dr. Bhattacharya was a common sense leader. His confirmation is a huge win for American health.”

Bhattacharya was one of the primary formulators of the Great Barrington Declaration, which brought together hundreds of thousands of medical and scientific experts to condemn harmful COVID-19 policies such as lockdowns and masking. Ironically, disgraced former NIH head Francis Collins frenziedly tried to discredit and suppress the Declaration. Now Bhattacharya will replace Collins. Seldom do we see such a major reversal on a national level.

“23% of Americans have not much or no confidence at all … in scientists to act in the public’s best interests.”

I’m astonished that it’s only 23%.
