Price cuts

123 Doubling Road - neighbors look a wee bit close, for this price, no?

128 Doubling Road is back after a year on the rental rolls and is now priced at $6.395 million. A decent house, if you like this sort of thing on 1.5 acres, but any house in this price range is obviously a tough sell: it's been kicking around, on and off, since it was built in October, 2010, when it started at $6.795. I won't tell a builder/seller his business, but if it hasn't moved in six years while lodged in the $6 bracket, it'd probably make sense to revisit that number.

And a bit to the west, 158 Clapboard Ridge is also back, now asking $5.295 million Another house that's testament to the torpidity state of this price range, this one started at $7.495 in January, 2013. One thing to try: new accessories in the kitchen - so far as I can tell, the glass bottles and other gimcracks and gewgaws atop the kitchen shelves here haven't been changed in all that time.

Dusted at least, one hopes.
