At long last contract
/49 Grahampton Lane, which I've been touting for a long time as its price has steadily fallen, finally has a contract. Last asking price was $4.475 - it started at $7.395 million in 2014. The owners bought it for $3.475 million in 2000 and completely transformed and expanded it. Great house and in the low $4s, a good deal, even if that $7 number wasn't.
The owners of 25 Selden Lane (off Riversville) have no such happy news to report; in fact, they've cut the price of the property, again, to $2.675 million. That price includes a 2-acre building lot, I believe. Purchased for $2.275 million in 1998, it was tried at $7.5 million (hey, they didn't ask me) in 2009 or so and have been trying to move on ever since. Maybe this will do it, maybe not, but I'm sure they're getting discouraged, so make an offer.
