North Street continues to disappoint

Two North Street closing prices reported this morning and neither one will bring holiday cheer to home owners on our main north-south thoroughfare.

98 North Street has sold for $3.150 million

The sellers paid $3.950 for it in 2006, put a lot of money into renovating it and have been trying to unload it since 2013, when they started off at $4.850 million. Oops.

524 North Street

Further up the road, 524 North Street, which sold for $4.475 million in 2003 and $5.2 million in 2008, closed yesterday for $3 million. Oops again.

There's nothing wrong with either of these homes, except for the current state of the market.
