Back to Greenwich tomorrow but here's today's fishing report
/12 degrees on Long Pond at 8:00, but warmed up to 36 by 11:00 - mut be that global warming thing that so alarmed Leonardo DiCaprio. Fishing with two old coots, "John" and "Bernard" who've befriended me. We each caught our limit of two fish - brookies, 12-14" long, had coffee, visited with one of their friends of about the same age who's still bit laid up after falling and injuring himself pursuing deer, alone, aged 82.
Great people. As an aside, the older generation I've spent time with here includes a builder/developer who built very large commercial buildings and schools across New England, two retired science teachers, a retired school principal and a very nice guy with a phD in engineering. These are the people the coastal elite has dismissed as illiterate, irredeemable racists. Hmm.
