Missed this transaction yesterday

10 Sidney Lanier Lane

10 Sidney Lanier Lane, $2.595 million, has a pending sale. The sellers bought this 1964 contemporary for $2.750 in 2003, renovated it, and put it back up for sale in 2013 for $3.495. It took nearly four years, and various markdowns to its basic land value (it's also listed as land), but it's found a buyer. 

I've always liked the place, and have said so here over the years as it's sat on the market, but my guess is that someone will raze it and put up a new house on its (very nice) two acres.

Now who knows why a street in Greenwich was named after a Confederate blockade runner? I think I was told the answer, long ago, but if so, I've forgotten.
