Closer to town, prices are stronger than up north

25 Midwood Road, in Deer park, has sold for $7.350 million. Dated, but gracious, and as noted, just a hop and a skip from downtown Greenwich.

When it came on a year ago at $8.850 I guessed that it might sell, high, in the low $8s, and, low, the mid-$6s. Mid-range of that estimate seems appropriate, especially since I admitted at the time that it was hard to gauge the demand for a house of this era in this neighborhood.
