The fate of many a Round Hill Road mansion
/516 Round Hill Road, on the market for $7.495 million, has once again failed to sell and has once again been rented out instead.
This was one of Dom Devito's projects, left unfinished back in 2008 (or so) when he was sent off to prison for mortgage fraud. Patriot Bank eventually foreclosed, and sold it to these owners for $3,000,000 in 2013. They completed it and returned it to market that same year, priced at $8.290. They've been unsuccessful in their annual attempts to sell it but do find renters each year (at $22.5-$25,000), so at least some cash has been coming in.
I've always thought that the Patriot loan officer who advanced $6 million on this property when it was still just a shell should have joined Dom in his cell, but that didn't happen. The house is okay, I suppose, although there's no yard whatsoever, and I personally would be dubious of a house that sat unfinished and open to the weather for four years, but that's probably just me.
Me, and all the potential buyers who've looked at and rejected this home over and over again.
