There's still money out there, and still willing buyers - Dannel will be pleased
/21 Grove Lane, on the market since 2009 and firm of price, has found a buyer. It started at $11.9 way back then, but never dropped below $10.9, and persistence has paid off.
It's a grand old home, on a venerable street (I believe George Bush I grew up next door), but I wondered at its 2007 sale price of $7 million, and failed to see $12 million of value when it emerged from its re-do in 2009, but obviously someone, at long last, has.
Which is great: it's good for the market, a shot in the arm for streets like Grove, and by pinning a multi-millionaire down on the collection board, wonderful news for the Commissioner of Revenue up in Hartford.
