Two pending sales
/31 Khakum Wood Road, asking $4.495 million, after 1,050 days on the market. It started at $6.750 million in 2013, which was understandable: these owners paid $7 million for it in 2006. Not only did it sell for that amount back then, it did so via bidding war.
Khakum Wood ain't what it used to be.
40 Bush Avenue, on the other hand, in Belle Haven (although I don't think it's actually within the borders of the Belle Haven Association itself), has a pending deal after just 15 days. I've never been attracted to the location of this house, which is just about on top of I-95, but it does have real charm, and it's sold a couple of times over recent years, so I guess there are more deaf buyers out there than I thought.
ERROR ALERT: two different readers report that I've confused this house with another (the one next door?). They both have barns behind them that to my memory are identical. In any event, I was wrong: this one has been owned by the same family for 40 years. I apologize for the error.
