53 Park Avenue, from $2.870 to $2.750. The original builder of this 2005 (finished later) home took a chance with this design and it didn't work: not for me, and not for anyone else who looked at it back then when he was asking $2.777. He eventually lost it via short-sale — $1.425 million — to these owners in 2009, and at that price, I liked it a lot

But it's still vertical living, and the post-Victorian deign doesn't appeal, to me. Your tastes may very well differ, and you should take a look. It's a very well built house — the builder went bankrupt in large part because he sunk so much money into his dream project, this end of Park, south of Lockwood, is a quiet street, and if the design works for you, then Bob's your uncle.
