Here's a bit of a surprise

20 Marks Road, Riverside, is pending at $4.195 million. A decent house, on a decent, if compromised lot on a busy street, it was sold, almost new by my favorite NFL player, former little league coachee, John Sullivan (you owe me, John! If I hadn’t been such a lousy baseball coach, you’d never have turned to football and discovered your true potential) for $3.325 million in 2015. The current owners added a pool and spent a large sum, apparently, on some high-powered interior decorating, but pools deteriorate and decorations fade, so I’m not sure where the value is here.

4,000 square feet, with more in the basement, on a 1/3-acre lot. Seems steep, but it went in just 23 days [brother Gideon corrects me: 23 hours for an accepted offer], so what do I know?

It’s somewhat alarming to realize that a grown adult was paid to draw these squiggles on a blackboard to simulate “children at play”
