Great house on Old Church, now at a better price

93 Old Church Road, which set off in May at $4.995 million, was reduced to $4.2 today. Built in 1909, the owners have completely renovated it during their ownership, from the non-sexy but essential mechanical systems and windows, to kitchen and baths, and maintained it scrupulously. Unlike another older house I warned a reader away from recently, this is no money pit. And no, it’s not my listing, but I’m glad to find a house I can say nice things about, just as an occasional break from snark.

2.7 acres of gardens and lawns, close to everything; Old Church Road should easily support this price, so if older is to your taste, check it out; you could probably be in by Christmas, and start your own family traditions.
