Price cut on Riversville
/293 Riversville Road, down today to $1.595 million. It’s a nice house, though you have to look carefully to discover any traces of its 1794 heritage (what house stays unchanged for 245 years, and would you really want to live in it if it had?). The former owner paid $1.7 for it in 2007 and, after putting in large sums for renovations over the ensuing years, put it up for sale in 2013 for $2.995. That didn’t work.
The property appears to have been sold to a lender for $1 recently, which suggests that it’s probably not currently owned by someone who cares. I’d be tempted to throw $1.2 at it, and see if I got a positive response.
UPDATE: EOS objects to the home’s laundry, complaining that it seems sparse on shelf space or folding tables. That’s why we have maids, kid — who cares about utility or convenience, when someone else can work it out?
