Maybe Epstein is still too much in the news?
/Of course, Epstein’s tastes seemed to have run to young girls, not boys, but I see that Roy Cohn’s former weekend hideaway at 19 Witherell Drive is having difficulty finding a buyer — too reminiscent of Little St. James? Regardless, FWIW revisits this property on each price reduction, and today’s no exception: it’s now asking $4.450 million. The current owners paid $5 million for it in 2012, completely renovated it, and returned to the market in 2017 at $5.795. It’s been downhill ever since.
It’s a great house in a great location and these owners did a wonderful job of transformation, but money sunk into renovations is usually just that: sunk. Make the changes you want to make a house suit your needs, but your payback will probably come in the form of increased enjoyment, rather than cash.
