55 Perkins Road, which asked $12.8 million between July-October 2019 and $9.850 since then, can now be yours for $8.9. I was surprised when this stone-faced-house -with-a-blister sold new to these owners in 2008 for $8.561 but attributed my astonishment to a profound disagreement on taste and value. But $12.8? For a new swimming pool and flocked wallpaper? This time it wasn’t just me who thought that preposterous, the entire market did too.
