Huh — maybe we can watch a train wreck tonight after all

I’ve been assuming that Slo Joe would be able to fairly easily muddle his way through this, the first debate, and he’d go back to his basement, undamaged. But today comes news that his handlers, having first agreed, now refuse to let him be searched for an earpiece and earlier today tried, but failed, to get two separate 30-minute breaks inserted into the 90-minute program.

Maybe debate prep hasn’t been going well?
