Finally, some real estate news! You make it and I'll report it, but so far, you guys aren't providing much blog fodder. Do better.
/108 Park Avenue (Greenwich) priced at $4.150 million, reports a contract. Purchased for $3.8 in 2014, these owners put (more) money into it and put it back up for sale this past June for $4.511, then dropped that price slowly. Their result was better than that of a previous owner, who listed it for $5.695 in 2007 and finally sold it in 2009 for $3.2
Traffic load notwithstanding, Park is a great, in-town location (purists insist that it’s “almost” in town, but the heck with them) and it’s easy to see why houses there, properly priced, sell quickly. I wasn’t wild about this one’s architecture or interior back in ‘07, and I’m disappointed to see that now it’s been redone to the NYC 2020 style, but the house has been around since 1915; it’s surely survived precious assaults on its dignity, and will do so again..
