Fauci admits: The FDA erred when it approved the J&J one-shot. “It probably should have been two”.

I wonder what they’ll say five years from now, when the “details to follow” for all these vaccines arrive? “Sorry”?

The White House chief medical advisor said that the unanimous decision by the panel to recommend the booster shots should be welcomed news for recipients of the vaccine.

“I think that they should feel good about it because what the advisors to the FDA felt, is that given the data that they saw, very likely, this should have been a two-dose vaccine to begin with,” Fauci told ABC anchor Martha Raddatz on “This Week.”

“I think it’s very favorable for those who have received the J&J vaccine. I don’t see that as a problem at all,” he added.

I’m all for distrusting the government in everything it says or does, so I should cheer Dr. Fauci’s continuing efforts to hasten the day when the entire American population shares my cynical skepticism, but I’m still awed at how much damage the public health authorities have done to the public trust.

UPDATE: That same panel also approved and recommended a booster shot of Moderna. One of the panel admits that the data is weak, but we went with “our gut feeling”. Is this “welcome news” to readers who like me, submitted to the Moderna experiment? Does it make you “feel good”?

Me neither.
