Al Qaeda, stopped again!

With 60% of all TSA screeners unvaccinated and scheduled to be fired on November 22nd, three days before Thanksgiving, the NY Post offers the obvious solution: get rid of this security theatre.

Ordinarily, I'd say that could never happen; Congress would never fire 60,000 federal union members. But if they can get rid of 36,000 of them using the present hysteria as an excuse, then that’s a great start, and maybe this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring some small bit of sanity to the country.

This entire system was put in for show, to calm a jittery public and to demonstrate that, by golly, the government was doing something, regardless of how inefficient, useless, and expensive it was. It’s the useless part that most sticks in my craw.

In the meantime, have a great flight home this Thanksgiving.
