Two polls: taken together, explain why global warmists are so determined to lie to the sheeple, and panic them into compliance

A classic of the global warming misinformation campaign. 20 years on, the bears are thriving — they always were — the ice is still there

Newsweek” Half of Americans Think U.S. Climate Change Policies are not Enough: Poll.

Half of Americans think that U.S. climate change policies "don't go far enough" and 59 percent said that world nations are doing "too little" to help combat climate change, according to the latest PBS NewsHour/NPR/Marist poll.

The poll, which surveyed 1,209 Americans and was conducted between October 18-22, showed that 78 percent of Democrats, 49 percent of independents, and 22 percent of Republicans said that U.S. climate change policies "don't go far enough."The poll also found that 84 percent of Democrats and 29 percent of Republicans think that global efforts towards climate change are "too little."

The poll also showed that six out of 10 Americans believe that global warming is accelerating, and 55 percent of respondents want Congress to pass a bill that would ensure the country uses clean energy to produce electricity and rely less on natural gas and coal. Sixteen percent of Americans are against such measures.

Hooray, the Earth is Saved! But, er, how many of those polled are willing to put their money where their mouth is? An AP poll, also conducted last week, provides an answer:

Poll: Americans willing to pay for climate-change work – all the way up to $1

A recent poll by the Associated Press and the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago showed that 75% of Americans think that human activities cause some climate change. Of those surveyed, 55% said that they would be in favor of Congress passing legislation making the U.S. less reliant on fossil fuels.

However, when asked whether they would be tolerant of added energy costs, respondents balked, the poll showed. Democrats have proposed a number of provisions in their pending budget reconciliation package that would result in higher energy costs for American consumers.

Among those asked if they would be in favor of paying just $1 per month extra to combat climate change, only 52% said they would be either somewhat or fully supportive, according to the AP survey. Just 35% of those surveyed said that they would support a $10 per month fee, the next highest option presented by researchers.

“I would say, like 5, 10 dollars, as long as it’s really being used for what it should be,” Krystal Chivington, one of the respondents, told the AP.

Another respondent, Mark Sembach, said that corporations should bear the brunt of the costs associated with transitioning from fossil fuels to renewables, according to the AP.

“I think it needs to fall a great deal on responsible corporations that’s — and unfortunately … most corporations aren’t responsible,” Sembach told the AP. “And I think there needs to be a lot of pushback as to who ultimately pays for that.”

Who “ultimately pays”? These silly, fatuous, ignorant chumps. Their betters are lining up laws and regulations that will cost individuals tens of thousands of dollars a year — $10 gas, electric home heaters, soaring food costs, and carbon taxes on manufacturers — direct, in the case of domestic manufacturers, tariffs for foreign goods — and that’s just the beginning.

“$10 dollars, as long as it’s really being used for what it should be”? Utter, deluded fools. And it will be far too late to reverse their doom when their folly is brought home, and lands with a thump on their mushy heads.
