So when I saw this price: $2.920, I had to look to see if there was some other Havemeyer Lane I was unaware of, but no ...

Having failed to sell at $2.099 million in 2018, 40 Havemeyer Lane is back on the market, now priced at $2.920. Havemeyer Lane runs along the Old Greenwich/Stamford border, and is best known for its roaring traffic and its location across the street from one of Stamford’s housing projects, whose kids hop the fence, cross the road, and break down the doors of the more prosperous homes across the line. Such excitement!

The highest sale on the street, so far, was #56, built in 2007, finally sold in 2009 for $1.240, and resold in 2018 for $1.375. Its twin, #54, sold for $1.210 in 2013.

I’m sure the owners of both those houses will be astonished and delighted when #40, just a few doors down, fetches $2.920.
