THOSE MORONS AT IMPERIAL COLLEGE:
New variant hysteria comes from same institution that popularized lockdowns & previous COVID scares. Given their track record, I don’t know why anyone listens to them. “Imperial College UK is the home of the infamous ‘doomsday models’ for COVID-19, which promised that millions of people would imminently be wiped off the earth if the Western world did not lock down in March of 2020 for COVID-19. The idea that the world needed to ‘flatten the curve’ through pseudoscientific lockdowns was spawned by a faulty academic model from Neil Ferguson, an epidemiologist at Imperial College. When pressed to open source his models, Ferguson outright refused. He later resigned in disgrace from the U.K. government scientific advisory board. Yet ‘Professor Lockdown’ somehow remains a very influential figure.”
All the variant hype has been largely BS.
I’ll add that the man at the head of the Imperial College, Neil Ferguson, is the same “expert” who started the Swine Flu panic in 2005, predicting 4 million deaths worldwide: actual deaths, 282 humans, and millions of pigs killed, in England and worse, in some of the poorest countries in the world, also predicted 2.2 million deaths in America and 500,000 deaths in Britain.

2001 HAND FOOT AND MOUTH – Due to Ferguson’s prediction that up to 150,000 could perish from Foot and Mouth Disease the policy of “contiguous culling” was adopted. This led to the slaughter of 6.5 million cattle, sheep, and pigs, not only from infected farms but also all animals on adjacent farms, regardless of whether infection had been reported there. Yet less than 200 people died. Professor Neil Ferguson writing in Science “it doesn’t say that this policy was wrong” (Source).
2002 MAD COW DISEASE – Professor Ferguson this time predicted that up to 50,000 people could die from variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease known as Mad Cow Disease. He also calculated the number of deaths could rise to 150,000 through a sheep epidemic. The reality is: “Since 1990, 178 people in the United Kingdom have died from vCJD, according to the National CJD Research & Surveillance Unit at the University of Edinburgh.
2005 BIRD FLU – Ferguson went large with his prediction that up to 200 million people could die from Bird Flu. the Avian influenza H5N1 comparing it to the 1918 Spanish Flu, but worse. In 2006, the WHO had only linked 78 deaths to the virus, out of 147 reported cases.
2009 SWINE FLU – Ferguson and his team at Imperial College advised the government that swine flu or H1N1 would probably kill 65,000 people in the UK. In the end, swine flu claimed the lives of 457 people in the UK
Ferguson and the Imperial College have always been there to initiate a panic by proclaiming that their “science” predicted hundreds of millions of deaths. Ferguson should be burned at the stake for witchcraft, and the Imperial College plowed under the earth.
UPDATE: South African doctor: Xi Virus symptoms “unusual, but mild”. Why are governments shutting down the world, when they know nothing about this new variant? Because they can, and want to show their subjects the extent of their power. Governor Noisome, by the way, has just expanded his emergency powers for another two years.
