The Democrats folded, and that's a damn shame

Wait, wait, I didn’t mean that!

I don’t watch TV news or read formerly-known-as-newspapers like the NYT, so my news currency is usually a few hours off, but it seems as though, having demanded that their circus hearing be reopened to allow for witness testimony, the Democrats have backed down, and they’ll shut down the show this afternoon. Shame on the Republicans for letting them do so — they could have tied up the Senate for weeks, even months, and at least delayed the harm our new masters have planned for us.
