Hmm: do the Mescalaros owe someone reparations?

Fossilized footprints show that humans lived in New Mexico more than 21,000 years ago.

And they stayed there for thousands of years, before the Apaches, and before the Glacial Maximum, earth’s most recent ice age, which they caused by giving up their cars and resuming the use of dog carts and travois, and then ended again by returning to the internal combustion engine.

Or maybe not: settled science informs us that the earth’s climate was unchanged for billions of years, and only began warming after humans invented the Chevrolet.

But the question remains: where did these people go, and did the Apaches take over their land? If so, are there any descendants still around to demand compensation from the red skins? I mean, other than Elizabeth Warren, because screw her.
