Maxwell sounds like a horrible person, but when I read what this juror told the Daily Mail yesterday, I thought, instant mistrial
/You can’t do that. The law is crystal clear: they had to disclose that history during voir dire. Nothing could have been more material.
That letter [requesting a declaration of mistrial] obtained by DailyMail.com also filed in Federal Court Wednesday, came as a direct response to interviews given by David in which he revealed that his admission of being a victim of sexual abuse marked a sea-change in deliberations.
In interviews given by a second juror Wednesday they also expressed the view that sharing their story helped lead uncertain jurors towards a conviction.
By lying, those jurors put traumatized victims through weeks of useless testimony and wasted what must have been millions of dollars on this circus. A bonanza for the media, of course, because they’ll be able to do it all again.
