With an 85% illiteracy rate among Chicago’s high school graduates, it's not as though "their" students will miss out on academics, but it's tough on working mothers and lonely kids

Chicago “teachers” defy Mayor and refuse to go back to school.

As far back as when I was in college, I found education majors to be the dumbest, least-read students on campus. In the forty years since, they’ve only grown worse. A colleague of mine once commented that “the people who used to serve us fries at McDonalds are now our paralegals”. Today, I wouldn’t trust a modern teacher anywhere near a deep fryer.

Fire them,and go to vouchers.
