From what I've seen and read on the internet, DeSantis buried Crist in last night's slugfest, but the debate I want to watch in its entirety comes tonight, in Pennsylvania.

DeSantis proved he’s a fine debater and will destroy any of the talked-about Democrat presidential candidates in 2024, but many of us already knew that. I’m saving my popcorn for the debate tonight, when the commie socialist Fetterman will attempt to assemble what’s showing on his teleprompter into a comprehensible thought. It’ll never happen.

No sympathy for the man here; if I ever had any, it was limited, and his appearance last weekend with candidates from the Democratic Socialists of America snuffed even that flicker of compassion. The man who wants to destroy my country deserves only my hatred and contempt.

• Abolishing capitalism (duh)’

• Abolishing the Senate and the Electoral College

• Abolishing prisons (with the exception of political prisoners, one supposes)’ and all “alternatives to incarceration” that are carceral in nature, including problem-solving courts and electronic monitoring and coercive restorative justice programs”

• Worker control of production (another duh — hey, they’re communists, after all)

• Abolish residential rents, and prohibit evictions for any reason

• Etc.

UPDATE. Okay, this is funny: 36 of Charlie Crist's former colleagues, including his former Chief of Staff, write an open letter endorsing DeSantis. To know him is to despise him.
