Another New Yorker who's getting what he voted for

Robert De Niro’s apartment was broken into while he and his daughter were inside, sleeping.

A serial burglar was caught breaking into Robert De Niro’s rented New York City townhouse and going through his things on Monday morning – while the actor and his daughter were home, according to police and reports. 

Shanice Aviles is accused [caught red-handed] of trying to get into several commercial properties on the Upper East Side of Manhattan before she set her sights on the 79-year-old’s East 65th Street townhouse at about 2:45 a.m. Monday, according to police and a New York Post report.

The lady seems to be far worse at her job than DeNiro is at his. According to the NY Post, Aviles has at least 26 prior busts — including 16 this year alone for burglary and petit larceny — [she] also has two open bench warrants, including for skipping out on court-ordered drug rehab last week, as well as pending cases in Manhattan and Queens.
