Didn't have a prayer of getting that first price

180 Bible Street, Cos Cob was listed at $1.705 million last July, and has just sold for $1.395. Disappointed hopes, perhaps, but the sellers did do pretty well regardless; they paid just $1.195 for the place in July 2019, slapped some paint around inside, and put it back up for sale in August ‘21 for $1.495. They probably should have considered a price cut when it didn’t sell, but instead, they pulled it from the market this past February and returned it this July at a new, improved price of $1.795. The result is as reported.

The buyers are from Homestead, Florida, curiously enough. Blue staters returning home with their transgender son? Weak sisters who couldn’t stand 95° heat and 99% humidity in December? I’m with them on the latter, but either way, welcome to Greenwich.
