Waterfront in Riverside?

117 Meadow Road is back on the market today with a new broker and a new price of $10 million, down from its original $11.8. Will this be the magic number? Who knows? The owners paid $5.1 for it way back in 1999, and between inflation and market appreciation, it sounds okay, maybe.

But speaking of sound, this listing has dropped the “direct” from the previous description of the property as “Direct Long Island Sound Waterfront”, but I’m not all that sure the new description: “Long Island Sound Waterfront” is accurate either. The artificial pond it sits on (or as both listings, old and new, call it “Thrushwood Lake” — hahahaha) does have a culvert at each end, but you aren’t going to get a boat through either one (though see below for how one might do it, depending).

There is a dock on the other side of the road on property that may or may not belong to the main parcel (I might want to confirm before spending even $10 million), so perhaps you can call this LIS waterfront, I guess, sort of.

which is not to say that you couldn’t get a midget on a human boat out of there
