A contract for Dingleberry

16 Dingletown Road, currently asking $5.795. It started at $6.3 a year ago and has been on and off the market since, but this time its visit has been productive.

I wasn’t wild about this house when it was first built and put up for sale in 2008, but that distaste was probably heightened by its price tag of $8.995; it was not, in my opinion, a $9 million house even in a good market, and the crash was in full force and accelerating in 2008. Buyers must have agreed because it took three years to sell, and for “just” $5.6 in 2011.

The mid-country market kept falling even after 2011, and the house was sold to these owners in 2013 for $4.950. It’s only been the COVID market that’s pulled the mid-country out of its doldrums, but as seen here, the area is finally back, almost.
