I'm not questioning this price, in this market, but it's certainly a bit breathtaking — for now; by next year, this may seem cheap

23 Manor Road, Old Greenwich, is new to the market today and priced at $1.550 million. Manor’s a nice, quiet street comprised of 1948 homes built by Chimblo after the war. Unfortunately, it was redistricted to Dundee a while ago — I personally would prefer that my children be able to ride their bikes to Old Greenwich School, but there it is.

Listing agent DeAnne Sneddon perfectly describes this home’s position in the market, and thus quietly explains its price:

The very definition of rarely available, this brand new offering is 1 of only 3 available single family homes listed under $2MM in the entire Old Greenwich market.

Looks like a very decent renovation job, by the way.
