Gates cited Australia’s Covid response as the gold standard to follow. The country reopened its international borders this week for the first time since March 2020. Over the course of the pandemic, returning citizens and approved international travelers have been required to quarantine in hotels guarded by police and military members. Australia’s states even periodically locked down their respective borders.
The United States, by contrast, threw open its southern border and welcomed in literally millions of illegal, unvaccinated aliens, and set them free to roam about the country, untested and unrestrained. But that’s a quibble, compared to what Gates is advocating here.
The “gold standard”? Australia locked its citizens inside their homes, just like Shanghai, forbidding even outside exercise, which carries exactly zero chance of spreading the germs, set up concentration camps for the recalcitrant, battled and jailed protestors and ruined its economy. And for what? Well ….
In the same interview, Gates admitted this: "We didn't understand that it's a fairly low fatality rate, and that it's a disease mainly of the elderly, kind of like the flu." Gates and his power-mad mates may have only just understood that COVID was a disease of the elderly, but thousands of real medical experts and commentators concluded the same thing within weeks of the first outbreak as the statistics began coming in. Deliberate ignorance is entirely different than “we didn’t know”; there was an agenda here, and it was enforced on a panicked, gullible world population.
Australia is the Gold Standard”? Only for those who, like Gates and his fellow oligarchs in Davos, have the gold.
