Energy shortage; inflation; trouble abroad; general national malaise; despair: Welcome back, Carter!

THE WHITE HOUSE SPRANG INTO ACTION, OF COURSE: PRESS RELEASE, 4:13 6/18/22:

And minutes later, Deputy White House Press Secretary Andrew Bates quickly rode to his boss’s rescue: “oh yeah, what about Trump? How about you pick on him, why doncha? At least our president tries to ride a bike!”

Bates et al must be relieved that the president’s questionable physical condition doesn’t get the same media treatment as that accorded Biden’s predecessor, but of course, that’s not how this works.

President Trump faced new questions [from whom?-ed] about his health on Sunday, after videos emerged of him gingerly walking down a ramp at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and having trouble bringing a glass of water to his mouth during a speech there.

Mr. Trump — who turned 74 on Sunday, the oldest a U.S. president has been in his first term — was recorded hesitantly descending the ramp one step at a time after he delivered an address to graduating cadets at the New York-based academy on Saturday.

So there: in summary, six more years!

“Anything I can do, you can do worser, Joe — dare to dream!”
