/There’s nothing wrong, depending, on a bit of street demonstration — I did some myself, back in the days of Vietnam and Nixon, but you shouldn’t be surprised if the authorities impose a participation fee.
(But this is poor form, surely: that’s the cop’s pistol lying on the street. He’s lucky he was surrounded by his fellows, and that an angry bystander didn’t snatch it up.)
