A horsey friend ("say, fella, why the long face?") sends along this new listing he received in an equine publication, and suggests one can "live like a Warburg for $12K"

(Part of) the late Joan Warburg’s estate at 216 John Street is available for a $12,000 monthly rent. It’s a pleasant house, some of which was built in 1735, but those tempted to live like a Warburg should know that Joan, a close, personal friend of my mother’s, chose to live simply and plainly, and her house reflects that: the billions were invested elsewhere.

Two years ago this same house was rented for $6,500, but that was two years ago.

The house sits of 6.5 acres of 43 — the entire parcel sold for $7 million in 2018, and I wonder whether that buyer is keeping the house occupied while he prepares to develop it?
