Jerry Jones forced to apologize for referring to midgets as midgets.

(It seems that news outlets no longer spell out “midget”, but, as in this linked-to article, write “the M word”, or “M-—-t”. What will that mean for little people football?

UPDATE: It only gets better.

“The original association was known as Midgets of America until 1960. The name was later changed to Midgets and Dwarfs of America when the people with dwarfism complained that there were more dwarfs than midgets. That original meeting of 21 people evolved into Little People of America, a group which as of 2010 has more than 6,800 members.”

With an estimated 30,000 of them in the US, midgets are almost as rare as transvestites, but at least they don’t jump up and down pretending to be 6’-6”.
