I’d explain his succinctness by pointing out that he isn’t paid by the word, but then, neither am I. He does seem to have taken much longer to realize what’s going on; my awakening began at 18, but he didn’t have the benefit of the Viet Nam war to introduce him to the fraud that is government. That disillusionment came just as I discovered Atlas Shrugged, and the job was complete.
