And check out this one, key box openings, which gives a pretty accurate picture of how many times a house is shown (if the owner is there to let people in, or the agent is there conducting successive showings, the won’t get counted, but it’s close enough). Notice how showings in 2021 start trailing off in July, and never come back, even duing the traditionally-busy fall market, and other than a slight bump in March, so far, 2022’s been dormant. I would attribute that to our lack of inventory: you can’t show what doesn’t exist.
