Forget* Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals: the best governors have adopted Abbie Hoffman's Yippee tactics.

Hoffman, unlike his dour, pompous co-Yippee Jerry Rubin, used humor and fun publicity stunts to gain attention to his — socialist, actually, but who cares? — goals. For those of a certain age, do you remember when he and his band snuck into the NYSE visitors section and dumped fake dollar bills on the traders below them? You probably do, because it was great theater. That it didn’t end war, poverty or bring about the end of capitalism may have disappointed them, but it was fun.
And it was fun to see illegal aliens landing in Martha’s Vineyard yesterday; but this morning Gov. Abbott took it one giant step further, and sent the fruits of her secure border up to visit Kampallawalla. Friggin’ hysterical.
*On further reflection, this busing tactic does use one of Alinsky’s stratagems: “use their own rules against them”. The Liberal rule for responding to illegal aliens is “we must welcome them with open arms”. So, okay, then, here your are.
