(Free) Weather app recommendation

Earlier this summer, Susie alerted me to “Eweather”, an app that she said was hugely popular among the RYC sailing crowd because of its focus on the southeastern LIS area. I tried, it, and I love it. Its coverage really extends all the way up to the coast, and from Greenwich to Litchfield to, roughly, Boston, and even when I’m north of there, it gives me a good ida of what’s coming our way.

Its folksy discussion of the forecast is a treat, and often far more accurate than the stuff dished out by other sites, possibly because its writer has a window, and uses it.

An added feature: readers contribute their own weather photographs of sunrises, sunsets, cloud formations and such, and the quality is astonishing.
