The Biden administration announced they waived 26 federal laws in South Texas to allow border wall construction on Wednesday, marking the administration’s first use of a sweeping executive power employed often during the Trump presidency.
The Department of Homeland Security posted the announcement on the U.S. Federal Registry with few details outlining the construction in Starr County, Texas, which is part of a busy Border Patrol sector seeing “high illegal entry.” According to government data, about 245,000 illegal entries have been recorded in this region during the current fiscal year.

Mayorkas warned the situation has grown dire:
"There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas,” Mr. Mayorkas said in an official filing in the Federal Register. “In order to ensure the expeditious construction of the barriers and roads in the project areas, I have determined that it is necessary that I exercise the authority that is vested in me by section 102(c) of IIRIRA."
“A border wall is a 14th century solution to a 21st century problem. It will not bolster border security in Starr County,” U.S. Representative Henry Cuellar said in a statement. “I continue to stand against the wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars on an ineffective border wall.”
Any sentient being could, and did, predict exactly what Biden’s policies would produce: open the borders, invite in the world with promises of free food, medical care, education for the children, and the opportunity to breed new citizens, and the country will be overwhelmed by the poor.
This predictability is true of all the progressives’ policies of the past decades, but the assault has accelerated under the current administration’s attack on our industrial base, including our energy infrastructure, manufacturing, and the automobile industry. Stupid, or deliberate? I think it’s a mixture of anti-capitalist socialists atop the power pyramid, with the gullible and uninformed underneath. The crash awaiting us is entirely foreseeable but it will be met by surprise when it comes.
