It appears that the Greenwich real estate market has finally entered its winter solstice

or, like Mr. King, jackson’s hole

There were exactly two new listings on the broker open house tour today. Before the Great Lockdown, there were usually dozens of houses to see, and the tour list was two, even three pages long. The inventory shortage curtailed that, as has been reported here before, but two is a new low — until next week, when it will probably drop to zero. We can, however, expect to see a few reports of closings on houses contracted for in previous months.
