It only seems as though this place has been on the market since 1820

Built in 1820 but renovated more recently than that, 58 Sherwood Place is back again with a new agent and a new price: $2.195 million, up 10% from what couldn’t draw a buyer in 2022.

Its owner first put it up for sale in August, 2016, for $4.2 million and a month later, in a fit of misplaced optimism, raised that price to $4.250. Things progressed from there as you might have expected, even if he didn’t, and the price slowly, slowly, ever so slowly dropped to $1,999,500 in September ‘22, when it died on the vine.

But here it is once more, still standing, and with a higher price to attract, no doubt, a higher class of buyer, one who can appreciate the finer things in life. We’ll let you know how that goes.
