"First time on the market in sixty years" says its listing

618 Lake Avenue, $10.250 million, built in 1933, sits on 12 mid-country acres and looks pretty special for those whose taste runs to antique Mediterranean homes. It appears that the owner is 99, and it’s been my experience that modernization projects tend to drop off after an owner reaches, say, 65 or so, so there’s probably room here for some updated bathrooms, mechanicals, and possibly a kitchen, but I haven’t seen the house, and I’m just guessing.

I worry a little about those 12 acres in the two-acre zone, but what will be, will be.
