48 Mayfair Lane, currently priced at $5.450 million. Comparing it to similarly priced recent sales and what’s on the market now, that seems like an appropriate price. While not exactly my cup of tea, it’s easy to see its appeal. I once had a client from India, and after touring quite a number of homes, we pulled into the driveway of a brick Georgian built around the time this one was, and looking at it, he said, “Now this is what I envision a house in Greenwich to look like”. He bought it, too, and he and his family were very happy there.

The late owner and his wife bought this house in 1989 (new, I think), and lived here since then, so it obviously suited their needs.
