Pending on Stanwich

421 Stanwich Road, currently priced at $4.990 million, entered into contract in June and is now pending, all contingencies met, apparently. It started off in March at $5.495 million, so it’s probably safe to assume that it will be selling for less than $4.990 — perhaps closer to the $4.695 asked for back in 2020.

A Jordon Saper house, so not to my taste, but his designs were popular in the 2000-2010 decade. This one sold new in 2000 for $4.7 million, was once listed (2005-2006) for $8.250, using a silly agent known for her idiotic pricing, then, using the same agent, because some owners never learn, tried for $7.25 million in 2010. More realistic pricing began in 2020, with this pending sale being the result.
