WATERTOWN — Two people have been charged with an armed robbery in the Oakville section of town after they followed the victims to their home from a Waterbury store, police said.

January Williams, 35, and Justus Smith, 27, both of Waterbury, are accused of spotting the victims at a store in Waterbury on July 1, following them to their Oakville home and robbing them at gunpoint, Watertown police said in a news release.

Williams had her children with her when she and Smith spotted the victims at the Waterbury store and left them in the car while she and Smith confronted the victims with a gun at their home, Deputy Chief Renee Dominguez said.
